OMG people pay to enter these??

When I read the bit that said "offering superb value for money" and then "£160" I was like

And btw, all Jellies are low fat you are thinking of low sugar. Which just means they replaced them with loads of chemical sweeteners something which I have found to be very very unhealthy.

Doesn't the suit back it more difficult?

Left at 5am today. Cycled 120 miles in 7.5 hours. I could not move my foot for the last hour and nearly fell off at the end.

          Massive improvement. Congrats.

Wiggle is quite good for energy bars etc. if you want to get your food from something other than Mars bars.

Today I had 3 snickers and a bottle of fanta.

This is what the race organizers have said :-

"On the bike and run we will be using High5 energy drinks and gels. We will also be giving out water and coke (not that I recommend coke until you really need it) there will also be bananas. There will be other light food on the run and we hope to have soup."

Looks like I need to get some high5 stuff for training - a pity as I like to buy stuff as I go. But maybe the sooner I take the stuff onboard the better?

Afterwards I had fish and chips. I think I had lost alot of salt.

I thought doing a 126mile kayak race was hardcore, but no way to that

I would seriously recommend something that stops you dehyradting, theres medical powered stuff that stops your bladder functioning (ie you wont need to go for a wee often) and stops you dehydrating so fast, Can't remember the name of the stuff, as some nurse used to get it for me (:

I did 15 miles this morning in an hour and half and when I got home I had a cup of tea and then took the kids swimming.

And how many mars bars did you need to keep your energy up?

Good going Brillo - very impressed.

You should definitely try the energy stuff before your race - it can have an, er, loosening effect, and you don't want nasty surprises on the day.
