Goose sounds more traditional than turkey.

Anyway, vegetarian Christams here. Aubergine and gruyere schnitzel with roasites and port and mushroom gravy.

Goose. Cut the skin, rub lemon and lime juice into the skin. Put lemons and limes (and an onion) into the cavity. Roast the potatoes and parsnips in goose fat.

          New Year's eve - lobster.

Mrs BP did goose 2 years ago. It was very expensive - and she overcooked it. Now I insist on turkey every time.

Im doing Goose this for the first time - had it recomended to me at the Farmers market - fancied a change, otherwise the usual traditional stuff - boring really!!

Feel nervous about the goose - never eaten it before and never cooked before - could be a disaster!

Gently but confidently part the thighs, then pushing it in as far as you can, insert your stuffing. If you're adventurous, like me, you may want to rub some flavoured oil over the breast and legs. Finally get a friend to give you a hand with the mounting, and give that bird a good spit-roasting!

                  The vegetarian option.

Pork marinated in honey, brown sugar and Jack Daniels for us this year.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.
