Does anyone know a hotel between Gatwick and Brisl, or Glawster,

which is child friendly, has a good pool and that kind of stuff ?

    Thanks,

    Milan.
Newish hotel opened up just off the A419 between Swindon and Gloucester - local reports have been quite good:

Cotswolds Hotels - Cotswold Water Park Four Pillars Hotel - Cotswolds conference venue - Short breaks - Self catering holidays - Spa hotels

That's been there a while. I've never been in but I used to sit in my car in the carpark and use their WiFi

MB - you will be a hostage to fortune with that approach
This is not the continent & mid Jan may mean snow, Gatwick shut down, M25 a skating ring waiting for the salt
First rule of SE travel - get close to where you need to get to as quickly as you can and don't dilly dally
Change you plans and fly into Bristol - then if you want you can take the nippers to Seven Beach, Wales etc, but at lest your appointment on Saturday night will be do-able no matter what
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

          bugger,

          thanks Troll

I am beginning to think you are/were right

bugger, was planning to visit Legoland Windsor and stay Reading way before heading upto
          Glaaster on Saturday morning,

but, alas, from what I can make of the Legoland website, they're closed until mid March :-(

bummer, and I've easy jetted us into Gatwick and out from Brisl

          damn

          oh well, that's life eh,

right, now to pick up the pieces,

          Team,

any suggestions for what to do on the Friday in two weeks time assuming...

land at Gatwick and collect car by 11,

planned to stay overnight Reading way in the evening

so where to take the nippers (little ladies aged 4.5 and 7) during the day - obviously was planning Legoland but seems they're close until mid March which has piss'd on that bonfire

got to say though, the entrance prices lookk steep steep steep, £40 / adult , £24 / child

          ouch

where can we go instead in the saafff east between Gatwick and Reading ?

          Ta,

          Milan.

So Milan, let me just get it right here:

            1) you are seeking for a hotel to stay near Gatwick/Heathrow
            2) you are asking how high airplanes are on approach to airports

            3) next you'll be asking where to buy 9K38 Igla?

                he he

                Alexey,

plan b in another country, has an interest in a neighboorhood where an airport is trying to expand

anyway, doesn't matter, this is more important now

                bugger

                Milan.

Let me guess - you are planning to buy a cheap house under runway to later sell it for much higher price as otherwise airport expansion will be blocked?

                      yes

still, what shall we do for the afternoon in the saff east between gatwick and reading ?

was hoping to do something fun with the children rather than simply walk around a shopping
                      center

                      ta,
