Are Pantos still running mid Jan?- if so you could do a matinee

    Oh yes he could
    Oh no he couldn't

      thanks troll,

from the best laid plans of mice and men, ie, taking the enfants to Legoland (jeez don't get me started about their prices £42/ adult £24/ child)

this is now beginning to turn into a pantomime of its own

      oh well

we'll find some, worst case we can find a good leisure center with slides etc

any recommendations for a good swimming pool with slides in the saffff east

      Milan.

If it was me, I'd go to the horse-racing.

I suspect that there will be racing at Lingfield Park (not far from Gatwick) on a friday in January.

I haven't been for a while now, but kids used to be allowed in for free.

I don't have kids though so don't know how practical it is to keep them interested for three and a half hours on what could turn out to be a chilly afternoon.
