Two shags the sex pest - allegedly

All this furore over Two Shags Prescott, and yet in the Sunday Times there is a small news story about one of his previous sub-ordinates who accuses him of being a sex pest. According to her, she suffered continual sexual harassment from him. She wasn't paid for her story and has pursued respected careers. If true, he should be carted out of the door PDQ. There was even a picture of an official Labour conference badge with a picture of Two Shags on it, and the text "John Prescott Sex God".

Funny how the papers focus on the trivial item, and ignore the real meat.

Agreed. Not the shagging (I refuse to condemn anyone for that as I would never turn down the chance myself, rarely happens these days unfortunately) but yet more abuse of public funds by this utterly corrupt bunch.

As I read somewhere: if Prescott can get a shag, then there is hope for everyone.
Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

So, would you have more problems with old guys who have to give up ambition to become PM and have shag or two as a perk from work where he can't do much damage anyway, or Gordon Brown who is not involved in any scandals but taxes the heck out of everything only to get everyone in debt?

Old guys make being MPs an ambition and lifestyle choice. Brown? Uber-taxer whose fiscal policies are one of obfuscation to hide his incompetence.

The problem with Two Shags is not the affair per se, but the fact that he has spent the last decade swanning around on the moral high ground slating the Tories at every opportunity of being "full of sleaze" and in one day, the two-faced, hypocritical adulterer shares their lowly ground.

Just to pre-empt Chico here, something that Two Shags should read while he contemplates the demise of his champagne socialist duplicitous career:

Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Mat 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
Mat 7:3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Mat 7:4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Mat 7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

So he is a(n alleged) liar, big deal - I am far more bothered about Brown, not least because he is very clever and so far I have not seen _any_ scandal of the kind that popular opinions loves (ie shagged someone or had drugs etc).

Or, more accurately, the handful of electors in the handful of urban constituencies that decide elections aren't very clever (or don't care as long as the benefits keep flowing).

Cleverness is the worst vice of all. It's when a politician stops fiddling with his willy and starts fiddling with the country that we need to worry.

Brown is too full of self rectitude to have done anything worthy of the News of the Screws, though I suspect his sex games involve his wife role playing the Governer of the Bank of England.

What's more alarming is that our Prime Minister shags Cherie.

Me too Alex! That man may keep a low media profile, but he is systematically damaging the competitiveness of this country's economy with the most complicated bureaucracy known to the modern world - and forget about the indigenous chav voting demographic: not even the most credible accountants can fathom out the chancellors plottings... he is a master of deception, even in front of parliamentary investigation boards.
