They all, (apart from Kryton), look old.

Watched that 'back to earth' cack again recently, it really was grim and made me wonder if I had mis-judged the older stuff as good when it wasnt.
Bit like old action films which look total crap now.
Will watch without high expectations...Comment

They didn't put a laughter track on Back To Earth, which made it a bit cack. The old Red Dwarfs (with laughter track) were funny - were they genuinely funny, or was it the laughter track causing me to laugh? Or was it just that I was young and stupid and laughed at anything?Originally posted by lukemg View PostWatched that 'back to earth' cack again recently, it really was grim and made me wonder if I had mis-judged the older stuff as good when it wasnt.

I hate those American sitcoms where there is laughter after every line, and the things they say aren't even funny.
"Hey, I need to go shopping" [laughs]
"Why don't you go to the mall?" [laughs]
"It's Thursday and i've got work tomorrow" [hilarious laughs]

Hopefully when series X comes out soon, I'll be laughing along with it, and won't feel that all my childhood had gone to waste!!!Contracting: more of the money, less of the sh1tComment

I'm working my way through RD on Netflix and it's still good, just to the end of S6 which is where I see to remember it started going downhill (maybe S8 was the bad one).Originally posted by lukemg View PostWatched that 'back to earth' cack again recently, it really was grim and made me wonder if I had mis-judged the older stuff as good when it wasnt.

You know what they say, you know when you are getting old when you fancy the mother as well as the daughter, or father / son obviously.Originally posted by cojak View PostI know

As to Red Dwarf, im sure they stopped making it as it become rubbish and everyone stopped watching it, it will probably be like the series Monkey, fondly remembered but absolute rubbish when watched again.Comment
