An American friend asked my wife what "Smeg" means, and she told him it's short for smegma, and that he should look it up in the dictionary. Which he did... he went bright red.

The first time I saw a SMEG fridge I had to stifle a snigger.

Out of the original cast, Chris Barrie was an established comedy actor and had worked a lot on spitting image. He's now doing massive machines etc... on the cable channels.
Danny John Jules (cat) was perhaps the most misplaced as he had been a serious stage actor.

Danny John Jules had a small part in Blade 2.
