Come on Wales!

Good point - Wales should be a strong side for some years to come, and should be a threat for the next WC. Good luck to them"Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny. "

How many Rugby players have died or suffered serious injuries from tackles like these?
No agenda, just wondering...Comment

Not as many as have broken their necks in collapsing scrums though...Originally posted by stek View PostHow many Rugby players have died or suffered serious injuries from tackles like these?

Because those refs ****ed up and this one didn't.Originally posted by malvolio View PostSo why were the other similar tackles during the competition- there were four of them - either unpunished or, in one case, yellow carded...? With no subseqeunt three match ban...?

It was a shocker of a tackle and the reaction of the French after it says it all. There doesn't have to be malice, but a bad tackle is a bad tackle.
Shame, I was hoping Wales would win the WC.
The RC shouldn't be the talking point anyway, the kicking let Wales down."I hope Celtic realise that, if their team is good enough, they will win. If they're not good enough, they'll not win - and they can't look at anybody else, whether it is referees or any other influence." - Walter Smith

It's a shame that both Jones and Hook had such bad games. Halfpenny can be forgiven for his monster attempt but the other two are both ex Lions' kickers.
Still gutted but it's time to move on.Comment

Glad the all blacks made it through. They're playing peerless rugby. Just hope they finish the job now."Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny. "
