            I used to have about 10k in cash around the house at any time when I had the shop, but now about £200-£300

                  It can be annoying walking around with a pocket full of change on the chance you will need it, so I usually go out with only the big stuff; notes and a few pound coins. And once the coin mountain has grown large enough, I take the whole lot and give the checkout girl a nice surprise.
