His last two kicks in the Scotland game were top class, especially getting himself together for the long drop goal after missing a few. I wouldn't write off Wilkinson just yet. Not a bad guy to have on the bench.
During the Scotland match someone on TV asked when was the last time Jonny missed three kicks in a row. The answer was the earlier game against Argentine when he missed four in a row.

He's had two off-days out of three, and so the risk is that he will have another one. His scoring rate is less than 50% in this world cup, which is low.

I'm surprised troll hasn't spewed out some vile racist anti French comments like he did against the Scots in the England V Scotland thread. Mind you there is still time.

He is probably bricking it somewhere on account of Incognito's "dodgy dossier".

            Good point.

People I think it's time to stop using racial stereotyping in describing our skirt wearing, ginger haired, freckly pasty faced, obese diabetic smack headed friends from the North. It's not big or clever.

I have thought Wilkinson has been a has been for quite some time now.
The problem as I see it is that the alternatives are not up to the job either on a consistent basis. If you have to take a gamble on who "may" be effective then the best option is Johnny.
I would much rather see the England management encourage one of the younger options and let them gain enough confidence instead of making them feel they need to fill Wilkinsons boots.
Might it be that MJ feels he owes JW something?
                Just saying like.

I could agree with you, but then we would both be wrong!

Flood appears to get the team motivated. What do you think?

Richie Gray from the Scottish Squad is 6ft 10", 20 stone and still looks and plays like an effeminate fop!
