Always be nice to the admin staff. They can make your life hell, or smooth out little wrinkles. They're also a good source of gossip... er... inside information.

WHS
Always be nice and helpful to all staff on a client site regardless of position it pays dividend.
On the counter, take out your frustrations of being nice and helpful all day on anonymous w@nkers on an internet forum.
I learned this from another CUKer some time ago. It agrees with some of the above.
Make friends with: Security, the cleaners and the bosses secretary.
These people are the main line of support and information for you. Anybody else is secondary.
Once befriended:
Security will keep an eye on your motor, may even keep a space for you and will get you in quicker when you forget your pass.
The cleaners will make sure your desk and work area are kept clean, but they are also a great source of gossip. This means you will hear if someone has it in for you or who you need to schmoose. They are also normally contract and they will know if the client is closing down as their company contract will have been cancelled.
The bosses secretary will make sure that your invoice is top of the pile and gets in front of the right person for signature.
Thanks to TLG.
Just saying like.
where there's chaos, there's cash !
I could agree with you, but then we would both be wrong!

+1 but also reception and the post room. There is nowt like getting the final meeting room when your manager has been told they are all in use. Its even better when its accompanied with the phrase because its you eek...
Also the post room to ensure any parcels arrive at the final destination. Even more fun if personal deliveries aren't allowed.
