It's complete and utter bull - after Vista tulip people (even me now) happy with Win 7, so they do another load of manure and expect developer to dedicate time into new API that is only supported on Win 8.
Microsoft is entering phase of terminal decline now. You've heard it on here first...Comment

Looks like Google are also trying to get off the web and into a proprietry driven crap shoot.
Google plan to kill Javascript with Dart, fight off Apple ? The Register
And all because M$ and Google are worried Apple are boxing off the market with their app store.
All three will fail in these ventures to get market dominance, and HTML5 and the open standards based internet will be the winner.Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

The Metrosexual GUI is optional, the normal W7 style GUI will still be available for mouse/keyboard lovers.
Looks like M$ are trying to bring the mobile interface to windows PCs to get more people buying apps that they can get a cut of, Apple style.
The more this fragmentation goes on the more people will turn to free alternatives. Who wants to have to pay several times for the same app they may use on their PC, tablet, and smartphone because they're all using different proprietary systems?
If only there was a cross-platform standard emerging that kept the apps free to use.Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

That's got to be bulltulip.
Oh well, at least W7 supports all current tech so no need to move up to W8.Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

W7 is new Win XP - I'll be investing some money into OEM disks to make some spekulative profits on ebay when they discontinue it.Comment
