I would think the west is crawling all over their nuclear programs and military and would know everything going on in the country. I am also sure there will be quite a more stuxnet type stuff going on

An investigation by the Ukrainian secret police has found that Iran and China bought long-range missiles designed to carry nuclear warheads from Ukraine, one of the country's politicians said on Wednesday.

Grigory Omelchenko, an ally of the country's new leadership and a former head of the anti-mafia committee in the Ukrainian parliament, claimed on Wednesday that Ukraine's SBU secret police had found that 12 Kh-55s were illegally exported in 1999-2001. He said six of the air-to-ground cruise missiles were sold to Iran, and six to China.

The Kh-55 - which the US calls the AS-15 - has a highly accurate guidance system and a range of up to 3,000km, which would put Israel in striking distance of Iran. The missile was part of the Soviet bomber fleet weaponry left behind in Ukraine.

The allegations, made in Ukraine's parliament yesterday, bolster claims by the US and other governments that Iran is seeking to develop the ability to produce nuclear weapons. They also raise concerns about Iran and China's efforts to improve long-range missile technology."

Ukraine have given up all nukes long time ago (1992) and USA made sure it was funded properly, and when it comes to Pakistan then apparently US provided fool proof technology to ensure nukes can't be highjacked by terrorists... this probably means they won't work if USA does not wish them so.

Arms control experts have long suspected some sort of linkage between the weapons programmes of Pakistan and North Korea.

Pakistan clearly has the bomb, and some US officials believe that North Korea may now have nuclear weapons as well.

Technology can be printed on paper or copied, yes it seems it was sold, Americans can't control that.

But they did offer (from public press) fool proof mechanism to prevent nukes from being used by terrorists, presumably it involves some kind of electronics that in all probability contains some stuff that can be used if necessary to disable them remotely.

It does not matter anyway, we are talking about Iran here - Pakistan is not heaven but at least they don't have Govt that publicly proclaims US to be their main enemy.

I asked Atw his reasoning behind wanting to attack Iran - I have not been to Iran but I would be interested to visit - oh and Iran does have quite a large and active Jewish community too - cant be that bad a place- eh - or do we just destroy another nation because of our Oil Addiction ?

I dont know if you follow events in Pakistan but given the number killed by US drones - unfortunately the US is becoming increasingly unpopular.
