How do you earn your Contractors Badge?

As mentioned in a thread I've just started, I accepted an extension to a role based pretty much on location and rate, which is probably one of the first steps in achieving the 'Contractors Badge'. Having only been contracting for 2 months what else is required to become a fully fledged contractor?

So let me start the list:

    1) Accepting a role/extension based purely on rate/location/other convinience

    2) Enjoying a satisfying dump on the clock.

The first time you really understand the difference between permie sickness and contractor sickness. It's usually when you crawl into work in a state of working sickness that no permie would ever achieve just to ensure that you don't lose out on a billable day and you couldn't care less if you infect everyone else in the building.

Although I would argue that getting your first extension is part of the Badge...

And working out how much you earned while doing it.

And working out how much you earned, while working out how much you earned.

being benched for 6+ months. De rigueur for that contracting badge of yours.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

all in good time, first extension is a box to check and don't move company just to check the second box
