What makes you so sure that western companies that make mining equipment aren't just happy to sell into a new market?

    Not everything is nicked.

Patents only valid in the country where they were issued.

I am pretty sure vast majority of patents owned by western countries were not granted in China, in which case Chinese companies can legally make whatever products listed in patents so long as they sell them internally or in other countries not covered by patents.

No doubt as the report contains more than just monosyllables, I'll have to extract some salient points to save you the gurning.

With respect to China’s indigenous innovation policies, Mr. Holleyman expressed
concern that the Chinese government would continue trying to develop policies that
exclude foreign software from the market and force transfers of technology to Chinese
        entities
. As it stands, he said, the indigenous innovation catalogue already includes
software requirements that could exclude U.S. software from Chinese government
        procurement.
Pertinent section in bold for you, I can't make it any more obvious.

Allegations of misappropriation also have arisen in cases where foreign companies began
operations through joint ventures in China and soon found themselves competing with
their former joint venture partners.53 In one reported example, German-based Siemens
joined with China National Railway (CNR) to build China’s first high-speed rail line
between Beijing and Tianjin for an estimated contract value of almost $1 billion; this
project was successfully concluded in 2008. Shortly thereafter, Siemens announced that it
had won a contract to build a high-speed rail line between Beijing and Shanghai, but
China’s Ministry of Railways ultimately awarded the $5.7 billion contract to CNR, with
Siemens effectively demoted to a subcontractor role.54 While details of the technology
transfer process are not public, it appears that CNR did benefit from its joint venture
relationship with Siemens and has now become an important competitor in the industry.
Little clue, the bold bit is the name of 'a single company' to satisfy you, cretin.

So you've got nothing else to say when you were given company name and good reference?

Railways is one very good example how China did not just import stuff, they made bidders transfer technology to China, very crazy thing to do - there should be massive taxes on such things or just blank prohibition.

Oh FFS, I said it clearly already - they mainly nick stuff in military areas which is what everyone does, however in civil matters they've created model where FOREIGN SUPPLIERS turn over technology to THEM, even invest in factories to hire local stuff who will make these things from high number of local parts, effectively creating complete supply chain where as such chains get decimated in western countries.

There should have been MASSIVE taxes on technology, jobs and ownership transfer to countries that are fundamentally compete unfairly - meaning places like China where they have no pension system, no proper HR laws, little or no taxes etc: there should have never been equal trade deal with such fundamentally unequal partners.

You should have that as your sig rather than just announce it every time you post so that everyone can reply in monosyllables to give you a chance.

He's most probably still spelling out a few of your bigger words Alexy. Give him half an hour to get the first sentence decomposed.

Sorry to join the thread late.

Unfortunately, there is already a glut of people further up the chain. I imagine it is very tough to move up and compete against people already doing these jobs unless you want to take a very low rate - but that just ruins it for everyone.

Also, I remember a thread on here showing the number ICT's and the jobs being done. The statistics were showing an increase in Bob's doing work further up the chain. It's only a matter of time before they do everything.

                      We're all doomed
