Can I ask what skills you have ?
How does a team in India plan a project with a customer?

Who checks the outsourcer in India is doing what the customer requires and is on schedule?

While people from some nations are very good at picking up, understanding British slang and British business culture it's very hard doing this remotely.

Go into the Toilet Cleaning business, unless companies plan to outsource that to India too.
If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.

Your missing the point if Comapnies continue to outsource whether India, Malaysia or Poland the IT contract market will erode in the UK and regardless what skills you might have all people will find it hard to find work. Look at call centres for example 1000's of people in the UK lost their jobs because of it. It obviously doesnt affect you, but spend a moment and think about the peeple it does affect.

Don't think that this is a new thing just in IT. The British cotton industry collapsed when India discovered it could make cotton cheaper than we could.

            Innovate and adapt.

His login ID may give a clue.

Of course, but this is nothing new. Outsourcing has been going on for years, to the point that insourcing has occurred to bring some work back here, and now the trend is again towards offshoring with some degree of near-shoring. Thousands of UK jobs have been lost (including mine a while back), and we can argue 'til we are blue in the nuts but the fact is that you have to accept globalisation and move with it. It's tulipe for us, because our rates/wages are reduced, as is our standard of living, but unless you work into a niche skill or move upstream, you'll have to accept it or move abroad.

I take the view that the UK could not manage the amount of code we now have without outside help in the same way that if we still had manual switchboards half the country would have to work on them with the number of phones we have now.

If you are good and keep ahead of the wave then you will always get hired.

Your reply is the most sensible on here.

Some of the others however are very very naive its almost laughable. You dont see whats coming for the future either that are you dont have the b@@lls to voice your true opinion, only speak it behind closed door, some of you are pathetic lol.
