Riot in Tottenham

Last time I drove through Tottenham, some muppet the previous day had washed my Jag and sprayed too much water on the dashboard.
The result was headlights constantly flashing, in just such a way that it looked like I was flashing them impatiently. Driving down a country road, two or three cars ahead of me pulled in to let me pass, and one poor old pensioner couple practically drove into a ditch! It was so embarrassing.
But worse was to come. In Tottenham I found myself behind a minibus with about ten large, aggressive looking black guys staring balefully at me out of their rear window.
I had to turn down a cul de sac, and wait until the coast was clear. Felt like a right bedwetter.Work in the public sector? Read the IR35 FAQ hereComment

All the government did was cut subsidies. It wasnt a rate rise, but a reduction in government funding
One thing that is also never mentioned is the huge ballooning in number of students in 40 years (from 410,000 in 1969 to 2.4 million in 2009) due to the idiotic lefty notion that higher education is a "right" regardless of how little the individual or society benefits from it. If there is a six fold increase in numbers they can hardly expect the same individual subsidy.bloggoth

Degrees arent for everyone. They used to be a symbol of distinction. Now them seem to get handed out like candy and it diminshes those of us who worked hard for our degrees when everyone and their dog has a degree in air guitaringComment

It is a always pretty funny how the Police get the blame in these instances.
I think the next time a police officer gets shot they should be allowed to crew up in vans with hundreds of petrol bombs and torch criminals houses, they just have to say they were provoked, sauce for the goose and all that, see how them community active lefties like it.Comment

The MET's do have a bad rep, deservedly so over the decades. So I wont shed any tears or lose any sleep over it.Comment

Whatever, yet another riot that we won't be allowed to cite as a downside to multiculturalism without being deemed racist. The reality is that there is not a country in the Western world (including Brazil surprisingly) where blacks are not disproportionately represented amongst the underclass.
Why? In the absence of any ready solutions, does it matter? Maybe one day we will have policies based on realities not idealistic viewpoints of how things should be. Much better to use trade to help everyone build their own nations and live in them as they would like to live.bloggoth

You can compare the UK to France or Belgium but you can't compare the UK to Brazil or the US simply because the Black people in those countries are mostly descendants of slaves."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

We are all the descendants of slaves ....
A black person whining about slavery is incorrect and a hateful racist. Black Africans were enslaved for the shortest period of time of any ethnicity. They have no right whatsoever to even utter the word racism.
At the same time time White Europeans were enslaved, they still are to this day despite the slave act being passed two centuries ago.Comment
