      It's all a bit retro 80s though, isn't it?

        With you there.

The truth about the shooting isn't out yet and there is precisely zero reason for last nights activity.

A non-police handgun was retrieved at the site of the shooting. Anyone who carries a gun or knife out in public deserves what they get.

        Its purely criminal.

Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.

Can only be a matter of hours now before this chap's criminal history mysteriously appears on a news desk somewhere.

The point being, I think I must be turning into a **** if I keep agreeing with you.

That or you're turning into a namby pamby bed-wetting cretin.

And one thing I noticed when watching the student riots was how crap the police are at using the truncheon these days, an hour or two of lessons by a drummer could get their stick velocity up about 2 or 3 times. Proper wrist breaking speed.
The problem with the student protests is that they needed to work out if the students where over 18 before whacking them.

Otherwise as a country we would look sh*t for allowing our police to beat up children even if they deserved it.

There are already issues with the police kettling OAPs, toddlers, pregnant women and knocking a guy out of his wheel chair.

Part of Hackgate was about the Met feeding bits of information to The Sun and NOTW from the highest level.

I know a couple of people whose details were fed to journalists and the only people who could have done it was the Met.....

Prison service and the courts get full access to these systems.

I have no sympathy for student protestors, shoot them all I say. Id be happy to do it myself if I were a policeman.

All the government did was cut subsidies. It wasnt a rate rise, but a reduction in government funding. We are in a recession, so we can't piss money away forever.

At first, I thought, let them complain if they want, so long as it stays peaceful and sensible. But they started rioting and some protesters, skipped job interviews, to go and riot! Idiots.

However the point they transgressed from smashing up shops and got even worse. The unforgivable act was letting Charles car get eggs on. At that point, I wanted to beat every single protestors face in to the tarmac. Any young person meeting Prince Charles, shouldnt just kiss, but lick the ground he walks on. He, among other royals, does a hell of a lot of good work for young and inexperienced people, giving students and others a lot of support.

And before you think Im an old fart, out of touch with the modern world; Im in my twenties, Im currently doing a degree, while working and paying for it myself through the open university. So Im a student myself, however disgusted by the acts of my fellow students ....
