Have you actually been to these countries?Originally posted by Craic View PostWe all have pre-set ideas of what the people of different countries are like and whether it is a good country or a bad one and whether its people are good or bad.
Let me make a start.
Norway - good
Holland - good
Germany - OK
Australia - good
Argentina - bad
Italy - OK
Ireland - good
USA - good (except for the crazies)
Canada - good
New Zealand - good
Arab countries - bad (but improving a bit)
Saudi Arabia - very bad
Ghana - good
Nigeria - bad
Russia - OK
Sweden - good
Belgium - OK
Spain - OK
Poland - good
Have I got those right?

Nonsense. There are good people and there are bad people. There's good countries and there's bad countries.
When you reach an age where you need to shave, this will have dawned upon you.
Unless of course you are too far down the bipolar spectrum to have sussed out the concept of logical thought.
In which case, if you are lucky, someone may come along and offer you a job filling in spreadsheets with dodgy data.“The period of the disintegration of the European Union has begun. And the first vessel to have departed is Britain”Comment

Think you're carrying the simplification a bit far in the other direction there SB. There are also such things as national traits and cultures that are not acceptable in our society, like belief in witchcraft, honour killings, corruption, high crime rates, not accepting democracy or secular society. It isn't about being bad, just about how far the society has evolved and factors like wealth and stability. There are good people and there are bad people
Nice to judge everyone as individuals rather than by origin but it is not possible or affordable to do so.bloggoth
