was going to get that, the software i use isn't compatibe with Mac yet - but yeh I think I might do this, no way can I carry that into and out of London everyday on the tube where I mostly never get a seat..!
thats a £1,600 laptop, hubby should have recommend a Lenovo Thinkpad X220, also a core i7 processor but over 1/3 lighter, far better for your needs IMO

Compatability not an issue - I need to run MS project, so I stuck a copy of paralells on the mac, installed windows and project, runs seamlessly inside a window on the air. Solid state disks so starts and stops quickly. I bought the 11" for travelling, but should on reflection have gone for the 13, as the weight is negligeble for both.
Client lumbered me with an HP Elitebook - it weighs a ton in comparison.

Thanks for that info, I think I'm going to get the MacBook Air and try and flog the EliteBook. Means i'll lose money but what can you do...! If i'm in pain after a week that's not a good sign!
