That's a bit like referring to a Windows 7 laptop as "IBM PC-Compatible hardware with a fancy-looking derivative of MS-DOS on it" - it's kind-of-true, yet at the same time so unbelievably far of the mark as to be ridiculous.
So, in conclusion - non-technical permie manager gets sucked in by marketing and buys overpriced kit that will be replaced by much better generation in a few weeks.

I've already got light laptop, and desktop PC - iPad fits into new niche - much lighter than laptop and it does not even matter if it was more expensive. Cretin.
