Well, I've learned something new:- Englishman Columbus discovered the potato when he was in America.
- Byron was a contemporary of Shakespeare.
- Richard Drake was the famous sailor (did anyone else catch that?)
Schools now spend too much time teaching kids to be historians ("how to think for themselves" ha ha) and not enough time teaching them history.
And with 'Caracas' perhaps the same could be said of geography.Comment

Jim cocked that right up, but Natasha had to go.
I watched "You've been fired" afterwards. She's fit, what do you think lads (and Mary P)?Comment

Natasha is so bizarre looking, like a droid almost.
Helen is gorg though.Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

Some people won't learn about Tudors and other periods because you cannot learn about every period of History.
It's far easier for a teacher to teach about the periods that reflect the local area as children can see it around them.
Though some teachers are simply tulip which is one reason why you end up with kids who live in Crystal Palace not knowing about why it's called "Crystal Palace". *

*I didn't grow up in Crystal Palace but that's where my TV transmitters were and are so it was a place of interest."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

I don't think many people know about Venezuelan geography. Why would any school bother teaching such useless information?
It was a decent name, in that Joe Public will think it sounds "mexican" without a problem.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

Helen FTW. She has been the most consistant, all the others are too gobby or too quiet. She does what is needed and with minimum fuss. As someone else said, she's been on the winning team more often than not, no coincidence.Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.Comment
