Ajax / Feyenoord by any chance?Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostI struggle to believe that anyone could beat many Dutch football fans at bigoted chanting. Just thinking of the 'hamas, hamas, jews to the gas' chants that are regularly heard at matches here.
They make a hissing sound when Ajax run onto the park as well don't they. Pretending it's a gas chamber."I hope Celtic realise that, if their team is good enough, they will win. If they're not good enough, they'll not win - and they can't look at anybody else, whether it is referees or any other influence." - Walter Smith

Yep, some other clubs too; a player from ADO Den Haag recently got into trouble for singing 'we're out hunting jews' after a match against Ajax. The club tried to act as though it was just silliness and he didn't know what he was saying, but eventually caved in and fined him. All rather sick given this country's history.Originally posted by Incognito View PostAjax / Feyenoord by any chance?

Of course they represent a thug minority; in our village there's an empty synagogue that hasn't been used since the war, but it's maintained by local volunteers, including the footy club, exactly the way it was before the last worshipper was dragged off to some death camp. Just basic decency.
It still astounds me though that anyone can even consider making those hissing sounds and think it's a joke. And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment

If you ever meet 2 Glaswegians do not ask anything about football or what school they went to.Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostIt annoyed MF enough to ban me for a morning!Comment

I'll be playing rugby with several of them next month (actually from Ayr) and shall heed your advice; tbh, rugby players don't talk about football very much anyway.Originally posted by minestrone View PostIf you ever meet 2 Glaswegians do not ask anything about football or what school they went to.And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument?
