In the 60's and 70's we did have a policy of not signing Catholics in order to appease the sectarian elements on the terraces. Happy? However, Mo Johnston was not the first Catholic to play for Rangers in 100 years as you lot spout.

Celtic were founded by Brother Walfrid in 1888, from the Irish Catholic Marist Brothers to give young Catholic men a social outlet that would keep them away from Protestant influence. Do you deny that? Edinburgh’s Hibernians constitution initially stated that all players had to be practising Catholics. Deny that?

However all that was over 100 years ago, so what. We should be looking to the future rather than the past. That is what keeps the division in place, you did this so we did that.... and as per usual it's religion that is being used as the reason for division.

Rangers won the European Cup Winners Cup in 1972 and were runners up in 1961 and 1967 which at that time was UEFA's second-tier European competition.

Celtic's fans have been named the best in Europe by Uefa.

The Scottish outfit's supporters received the 2003 Uefa Fair Play Award on Wednesday for their behaviour during the club's run to the Uefa Cup final last season.

Seville’s Mayor, Alfredo Sanchez Monteseirin, said: "I am writing from Seville to you on the excellent behaviour, good fun and good manners shown by thousands of Celtic supporters during their stay in our city. You should feel proud to have fans such as these in Glasgow who give their city and country a good name.
There is a quite clear difference in the attitudes and behaviour of the team' supporters, this is the 4th time in 5 years you have been up for bigoted chanting.

Future and past can be argued over with opinions, with second hand views...

The present however is much more interesting...

Rangers are to face a Uefa disciplinary hearing over allegations of sectarian singing during last month's Europa Lague match away to PSV Eindhoven.

You see, complete and utter bollocks again.

Rangers were fined £13,000 for discriminatory chanting in March 2007 in a match against Osasuna. Do you care to provide links for the other two occasions in the last five years UEFA have had Rangers up for bigoted chanting?

Anyway, certainly isn't an open and shut case is it.

STV understands that the charge came as a surprise to the Ibrox club after the official match report from UEFA’s appointed delegate at the game made no mention of any sectarian singing. The delegate, Geir Thorsteinssson of Iceland, was in the stand for the 0-0 draw but did not report actionable behaviour.

            Says it all really.

UEFA has already made clear in previous disciplinary hearings that sanctions against Rangers have been mitigated by the extensive work the club does to tackle sectarianism.

A high ranking UEFA delegation also described our club as exemplars of best practice in this area and only a few weeks ago the First Minister complimented us on the efforts we make as a club.

Our position regarding sectarian and offensive singing has been made clear time and again. We condemn it and those who indulge in it only damage the interests of the club

I struggle to believe that anyone could beat many Dutch football fans at bigoted chanting. Just thinking of the 'hamas, hamas, jews to the gas' chants that are regularly heard at matches here.

He's dressed as an athlete. I wonder if his sporting prowess emulates his clothing.
