While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

The only good news is that Japan was preparing for something like this, hopefully help will arrive soon also as this is super serious stuff.
There are more quantifiable descriptions than "serious tulip" now.

According to the Wiki it is currently "4".

That's the bare minimum it's going to be - until this matter is fully solved final rating can't be assigned.

Well it looks as if oil refineries are burning around Tokyo and that entire villages have been wiped off the map. So much for the initial 4 deaths that were being reported last night. The final death toll may be rather higher.

Anyway, as to what is next, as we are starting to run out of natural disasters, maybe being roasted on the financial markets on Monday?

That wave was like from horror movies "Day After Tomorrow!" - I hope at least some people were evacuated before tsunami struck!

Someone has written a nicely researched post on HPC

Notice what we saw blowing up on TV (the top bit of the diagram below) is a structure made, at least in part, of blow-out panels. No wonder it looked as if it had been vaporised in the 'blast', it's meant to blow up like that when things start to go a little bit wrong.

Meanwhile, Microsoft Bing have decided to apply the concept of Conditional Charity:
How you can #SupportJapan – http://binged.it/fEh7iT. For every retweet, @bing will give $1 to Japan quake victims, up to $100K.

In other words, they can afford to give away $100K, but they'll only do so if enough people support their marketing campaign - if they don't get the number of retweets they want, they'll keep the remainder of the money

UPDATE: Following a huge backlash of negative publicity Bing have just apologised (although it sounds rather like "We're sorry you lot are too dumb to understand what we were saying") and have handed over all the dosh

Do these modern Jap reactors have Boron Balls to drop in case of an emergency if dropping the control rods doesn't stop the reaction, like I think happened at Chernobyl and they didn't have Boron Balls though that's from memory, haven't googled it yet.
