Why does tinned mango smell like farts?

Possible - it was an old tin and the acid in the fruit had reacted with the lining producing hydrogen sulphide. It won't kill you unless you can't smell it. Then you wouldn't know much about it anyway.Originally posted by Bwana View PostSeriously, I opened a tin of mango pieces, put some in a bowl to eat there and then, and put the rest (along with juice/syrup) in a plastic dish with an airtight lid and put it in the fridge ready for the next day. When I opened the plastic dish the following day, it smelt like someone had farted. Distgusting!

I would be worried if your farts smell of mango.
Although I'd be more worried if they smelt of man goo. While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'Comment
