Read the thread through again! He was just wondering whether a place that advertises 'seafood calamari' might also perhaps be the type of place to call espresso, expresso (like most of my colleagues)

How wrong you are. He was pointing out redundant words, eg espresso coffee, should just read espresso, the word coffee is redundant

That's how I read it too. Slightly off-topic but Pizza Express (used to) serve coffee in cups with "Pizza Expresso" written on which I believe was a deliberate joke.

There's nothing wrong with a place advertising "Espresso Coffee", because there aren't any redundant words there. Espresso is a type of coffee*, as is instant or filter. Without the "X", there is no error.

The calamari contained prawns, mussels and salmon as well as squid.

Do you still not understand? Calamari IS squid. Unless it's been stuffed, it can't contain prawns, mussels, salmon, Jaffa Cakes, Earl Grey, hand grenades, or anything else.

In some parts of the world they use hand grenades to catch fish. So I imagine there is an outside chance you'll find the occasional unexploded one in your calamari.
