Now you're talking.
We could do this in a Union Jack painted mini, you poking out of the sun roof wearing German lederhosen(?), me driving with a mask and red cape(dun dun duh!) and SY dressed as a nun.
ftw, CM's the Nun

Just remembered. I had a dodgy chinese the other day and then had a very odd dream the other day about the poster d000hg.Originally posted by d000hg View PostWhat's the need for people getting sponsorship to do something they wanted to do themselves? I dreamt that I was at a CUK meet up and met you in real life and that you were in fact a middle aged lass called Barbara pretending to be a bloke. Very odd that Babs.

It is a good plan.
Many things do not require training before starting the big event.
I mean, for your little bike ride here, the first day you bike a bit, then you rest, then you are fitter the next day and bike a bit, rest and become fitter, etc.
It is the same with running a marathon slowly. Just make sure you start out nice and slow to build up fitness.
Tthe only problem is that at the end of your bicycle trip you have become quite fit and there is no cycling left to do. That is a waste as you are not very fit. The solution is to turn around and cycle back to the starting point slightly faster.
It is not difficult, the only challenge is to find the time to do it. I suggest starting in the middle of February as it is not too warm.

Having to be sponsored to do things seems a peculiarly English disease, along the lines of the American disease to sue anyone who annoys you.Originally posted by Churchill View PostHave you taken the baton from Troll?
I'm sick of people wanting to be sponsored to go sky-diving or climb a mountain or white-water-raft somewhere. Maybe I should do a sponsored wine-tasting...Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

It would solve the weather change problem.
It would solve the unemployment problem.
It would solve many other problems, since most problems are man made."Condoms should come with a free pack of earplugs."Comment

No he doesn´t. You choose to be subjugated in this manner and he takes advantage. Tell him from now you´ll be working normal 8 hour days with overtime as an exception rather than a rule. If he chucks you out, find another contract and do your training while you´re benched. If he doesn´t ´then you can do the training.Originally posted by suityou01 View PostClientCo keeps me chained to my desk from at least 8am to 7pm at the moment
Either way, you´re not going to achieve your dream while letting someone else control your life.

You are of course welcome to your opinion. It makes you look a miserable twat, in my opinion.Originally posted by d000hg View PostHaving to be sponsored to do things seems a peculiarly English disease, along the lines of the American disease to sue anyone who annoys you.

k2p2 and friends did this last summer. They took around 3 weeks and they did train for it, so I suspect setting off in February and aiming for two weeks may be a bit ambitious.
Hopefully k2p2 will be along to offer her experience later.+50 Xeno Geek Points
