        Castle Wolfenstein.

I'd have suggested Elite and Dune 2, but they've already been offered.

        Command and Conquer perhaps?

Quite a few of these games are actually available to play under flash-based dos emulators, e.g. Commander Keen:

Also, for Doom, I would recommend Chocolate Doom, a version of Doom which runs under Windows but "aims to reproduce the behavior of Vanilla Doom as closely as possible. ":

Believe it or not, I think I still have my maps for ADV.

Filed along with back issues of "Spelunker" magazine.

I can't get this to work....

When I do this as suggested,
                chocolate-doom -file uac_dead.wad -gameversion 1.9 -warp 1 8

I get "No iwad file was found"

                    Do you have an IWAD?

IWAD - The Doom Wiki - Doom, Doom 2, Doom 3, and more

If not, you could use the Freedoom IWAD:
