That crowd appeared from nowhere, weird. If it wasn't such a busy street though, I think moving their car (without damaging it) would be reasonable.

The crowd appeared from the primary school, note the other cars badly parked, including 1 on the zigzags! Were they taken to court as well? clear breach of the rules of the road there.

To be fair to the driver of the Ka (despite the fact I have zero sympathy for him), it looked like he had parked up just for a couple of minutes whilst dropping off his kid and wasn't planning to stay all day. He's the first one running to the scene when his car is being shunted out the way.

If the pensioner had waited 5 minutes he could have had a justified rant at the prick instead of finding himself in court.

I've had a neighbour who was a bit loopy in the past, very few car parking spaces in a small cramped lot, shared with businesses too. I would have loved to be able to barge his car into his garden sometimes... he was the kind of guy who would wait for you to nip to the shops, and would immediately move his car into the space you were in so he could have 'his spot'. Or even, would wait until you parked next to him and then move his car 6 feet just to block you in. Not as bad as Wilmslow's neighbours, but it's amazing how such small things can get you so stressed.

And not so very long ago St Pauls (& Brixton in London) were just leafy suburbs

In the 70s I was fed-up of being blocked in at the students car park so I used to carry a short wood plank in the boot. When I was blocked in I would strap the plank to my bumper and shut the other car or cars aside. One day I was blocked in when parked on the high street late at night. I used the same method to shunt some tarty Vauxhall out the way. He had parked with the wheels turned out so I continued shunting it until in was almost in the middle of the road. I hope he got a parking ticket.

No worse than Mums double parking outside schools.

Which they obviously do late at night, so it's probably ok then.

Also, just cos someone else is an inconsiderate pipe it doesn't mean you have to be an early adopter too.
