Is it a form of inverse snobbery? Boyo?

I have never owned a che guevara t-shirt. Neither have I ever owned a Yasser Arafat scarf or a little green cap with a red star badge.

Sounds like a good tip indeed. Keeping my gob shut about politics and religion when abroad but being ready to listen usually works for me.

I could have trouble maintaining the Welsh façade when faced with a flock of sheep.

Americans do seem to have an deeper emotional attachment to their flag than the British. Bunch of idolatrous infidels that they are.

I was going to say the same thing.

It is logically a bit weird to get all het up over your country. But on the other hand weird as it is, wouldn't we agree England would be better in many ways if people did have a bit of national pride, spurring them to get a bloody job and better them selves. A sense of confidence is a powerful thing.

I was in Linconshire a couple of weeks ago and instead of a flag pole with the Union Jack, they seem to be many flag poles with the Linconshire county flag.
