Have you considered not giving a tulip for now, and embarking on a process of eradication after a good night's sleep?Originally posted by Boudica View Postmouse!!!!
i'm here alone, it knows! i just watch a mouse walk across the sitting room bold as brass, i don't have a trap or anything and i'm worried about it crawling on me when i'm sleeping
eeek!!!
any (helpful) suggestions?
It's very unlikely that it will crawl on you while you sleep. Even if it does, you'll be asleep and won't notice. In the morning you will wake refreshed and ready to engage it in a battle to the death
When there's an elephant in the sitting room, you should really start to worry - especially if there's any likelihood of it clambering over you while you sleep
Luckily, they usually get distracted on their way from the sitting room and start playing with the umbrellas in the hall

Did it look like this, which was trapped in the light well of my cellar... until I tied a rope to the grid, which gave it an escape route.

Mice are cute, i grew up in a house riddled with them, and rats in the cellar and pigeons in the roof.
I have no problem with them.
Sadly my cat loves ripping their throats out <sigh>
I really don't understand how you can be frightened on a teeny mouse?
If it was 4 foot tall, or there were several hundreds of them, then I could understand it, but seriously, one little mouse?I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this

The only thing I'd be concerned about is disease, the kind of disease that makes you feel tired for the rest of your life or something. Apart from that, mice are nice.
Oh, and the droppings. They produce about 80 of them per day, according to the internet. The wee too.Comment

Actually, can't be bothered to look for a link, It has been known for them to creep into an ear or other orifice, attacted by the warmth. Once inside they nibble out a little burrow and have lots of little mice. One man in Leeds had 36 mice inside him.bloggoth

He is a cutey NAT. I don't mind mice, not sure I'd want one running around the place though, isn't it mice that are incontinent?
To add to the home alone theme of the weekend, I am also home alone tonight. No mice or strange noises to report (yet)Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.
