    Reasonably priced cars for contractors

My old Opel Astra is about to die anytime soon.

I've thought of these potential cars to replace it:

    Kia Ceed
    Hyunday i30
    Honda Civic
    Toyota Auris

    Opinions? Anyone?

Anyway, what are you driving these days?

Seems you're after function over form, so just buy a Focus, or Mondeo if you want bigger. Not flashy but does the job and easy to maintain.

This is a wind up right? In case its not, you would be a moron to buy either a Kia or Hyundai. And. Honestly. Can't you do better than the other two?

They give pretty good warranty 5-7 years

Actually don't. Wilmslow had no end of trouble with his, and in the real world, a mate of mine is having a nightmare with his.

Good to see the marketing is working

Yes it does - it should be the other way around - expensive cars should have 5-7 years warranty

Skoda Octavia Estate, the best option. Cheap to own and run. Nobody will nick it.

I took a cee'd (1.8 diesel i think) out for a drive about 12 months ago it was one of the older models with indicator stalk on the right, which just felt wrong.
Apart from that, nice solid cars although I found the interiors overly plasticy for my tastes

I would go for something German, although some of the current Alfa Romeos look nice.

I wouldn't buy a Kia or a Hyundai, that's too much like admitting you're crap at life. I wouldn't buy a Toyota either, given their recent woes, unless you can get a huge discount because of that.
