But your missus will have a family holiday.

I never take holidays during contracts. I recently went nearly 4 years without having a holiday excluding Christmas and Bank Holidays.
If I had a holiday booked after a contract ended then another job came along which needed an immediate start then, the job has to wait and I'd take the hols.I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!Comment

Tell the family it's holiday or contract, contract will bring in about £15k, you're more than happy if they holiday without you, this contract could let you get more work close to home in the future. See what they say and gauge the money+future prospects against how much resistance you get. DON'T promise another holiday in two months, in case the same thing happens then with extensions, etc.
edit: oh, too late. Why did you tell the agent, rather than asking?Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

The missus seems to feel she needs breaks/holidays all the time. Which is surprising considering she hasn't worked for almost two years, her sister has lived with us for almost 18 months and I see more of her parents than I have seen of mine in the last 20 years.
I could do with the break from all of them!
