can I just ask why you assume I'm a sockie - I'm having a discussion on an ethical issue here. Don't such things concern any of you lot or do you just not care? -
It doesn't help when you post a link to an article thats years old.Originally posted by gricerboy View Postcan I just ask why you assume I'm a sockie - I'm having a discussion on an ethical issue here. Don't such things concern any of you lot or do you just not care?
You are new yet you make comments like you have been here a while. You are either a sockie or another poster reincarnated (sp).
Your discussions on an "ethical" issue come across as racist IMO but, thats just it - it's my opinion.Bazza gets caught

If you actually take the time to do proper research, you'll find that halal slaughterhouses do exist, and they are perfectly legal. You'll also find meat for non-halal consumption being produced by ropey slaughterhouses that eventually get shut down.Originally posted by gricerboy View Postthe point I am making is that normal slaughterhouses do not produce meat in this way & this is why these illegal operations exist & it is in these places where the cruelty that I object to occurs. Charred meat in itself is no more or less cruel than any other type of meat becasue presumably the animal is dead at the time of blowtorching.
What you have to worry about is unscrupulous folk (of any colour) who will do anything for a buck. So, the moral of the story is, don't buy your meat of a bloke down the pub, get it from a butcher."See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested."Comment
