    Train on time.

Sitting opposite was a bird wearing a Mutant Teenage Ninja Turtles T-shirt. Probably older than she looks then.

Island had been looking more like a peninsula; now it's back to an island again. Three diggers still working on it.

Part of the on road parking was cordoned off for "bus turn maneuvre analysis" this morning. I missed watching that, but note that the signpost next to the bus stop has been neatly snapped off and is laid under a hedge.

Got an earlier train today. This one was a "Trundle Train". It didn't so much whizz on its way as trundle.

No diggers on the island and the road to it has been cut off. It's now an island again.

Signpost by the bus stop re-erected this afternoon. This time they've put it out of the bus's reach behind the hedge. They needed to adjust the angle of the individual signs to compensate for its new position.

Train left on time, arrived 20 mins late. Very cramped as first class not designed for two 6ft plus men to sit opposite each other (in Holland, where the average man is 6ft 2in). No smells, some irritating OAPs and some irritating girlies yapping about their conquests. Carriage bloody freezing cold.

Judging by the timing, come back as RC?

And come home time I realised that I obviously used to lean against the signpost while waiting for the bus. I missed it.

Train from Euston to Manchester tonight was running late due to 'signal problems at Bletchley', rather ironic...

I wonder if the announcer appreciated the irony of that.

Buggered off early to buy a lamp from Argos.

Only one in the shop, so no problems there.

Early enough to catch the 16:28 125.

Which got as far as B&Q on the other side of the Tawe bridge & stopped.

                    For 10 mins.

Then the nice man informed us that due to theft of signal cable, we were going back to Swansea again.

                    All got off.

Waited an hour & 3/4 for the promised bus, which never arrived.

Then got back on the train & went, very slowly, stopping at each & every signal, to Neath, which took 45 mins.

                    Got home at 19:30.

                    Fortunately, the lamp works ok.

                    Yay!

Got 20:12 bus from work last night. Only 2 minutes late, which meant I could catch the 20:20 train (1 minute late, but non-stop, and second class carriages at my end of the destination platform. Yippee).

Read in a left behind newspaper that the police had been extraordinarily busy with behaviour ascribed to the New Moon over the weekend (I do remember a lot of sirens). Mentioned this to the colleague who was on this morning's bus and he said a couple of his mates had for the first time in about 20 years got absolutely blathered at the weekend (at the age of 61). We wondered if there had been a line up of planets or something...

Three diggers back on the island.
