        How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

          It's one the of the most enjoyable things I do for work, but I've far better things to do for kicks.

          Yes and no. Working on UNIX isn't the be all of IT.

                AFAIK BBC micro was twice the price of the Spectrum.
                So no, real IT people got the cheaper product and maximised the hell out of it.
