I think that kind of puts a stop on using the bible as any serious text to quote.

Only the eyes of a nutter who considered that his duty of hospitality was more important than his duty to protect his daughter and his mistress. Which, in fact, is not far off from the way some cultures are today. Just shows - "there's nothing new under the sun."

True and interestingly enough I had a similar discussion with my elderly parents.

and the only thing we could agree on was that no one can make a decsion on whether it is a good thing or a bad thing as adoption by same sex couples is a relatively new thing so no one has any real idea on whether or not it will affect the child.
