Do you want to work on your sentence word order, then I'll be able to answer the point you're trying to make.

Let me spell it for you - the balance of power in that region has changed big time since the last war there - UK has got a LOT weaker and Latin America has got a lot stronger: if they were trying to take Isle of Man then the advantage would be on UK's side, but since the islands in question are far far away from here and much closer to them, then it is not them who should be afraid on what to do in case of military conflict.

You are aware of the typhoons stationed on the island, or the various air defence capabilities?

The only way the Argies can mount an attack would be a special forces (pretty much) suicide mission to try and tie down the airfield before any Typhoons get off the ground. They'd have to follow that up with a raid of the ageing ground attack craft to try and knock out the airfield until they can get their troops ashore. Chance of success - 5%.

There is an SSN already there, so the chance of an SF insertion is very low (their Diesel electrics are good, but not that good). IIRC, there is also a T23 there - possibly the best ASW platform in the world.

Basically, they've got **** all chance and Churchill's assessment of your thoughts is, as usual, spot on.

Yes, possibly a little indirectly though as O&G support firms like John Wood Group, Petrofac, AMEC etc... will benefit hugely and are largely UK based multi-nationals.

Oh yes the typhoons - this changes everything then.

Seeing as it kicks the arse of everything in the area, yes I'd say it does.

Your lack of confidence is disturbing.
