I'm half tempted to buy some Desire shares. Not because I think they'll find oil, but as a short term speculation based on a gamble that the price will rise again before the next drilling.

But I haven't bought shares for years and don't have a share trading account, so speculation of that sort will probably be a pain to set up, unless anyone knows of a hassle free way of buying shares?

I just use PaddyPowerTrader fairly easy and think it was fairly instant.

I was reading one of the boards yesterday, if this pay turns out as expected (ie couple of hundred million barrels of oil) the RKH share price should hit 350. Which will be a nice few grand profit.

If they keep hitting oil, potential SP is VERY good.

Oil exploration shares and investments have always been very much at the casino gambling end of capitalism, anyone who doesn't realise that is in for a nasty shock.

Never invest money in that sort of thing that you can't afford to lose completely.

They don't call it 'wild-catting' for nothing.
