FOGL have drilled a duster - price down 50% today.

Fortunately, I didn't top up last week so I'm only down £500 or so.

...and it seems not to have affected the share price one jot.

        Which is nice.

Real booms will come after the results of the flow test on the Sea Lion well. If they can prove that well is "commercial-able" then expect the price to double again.

I'm debating whether to take a punt on them.

What price did you buy in at?

            65.26
            84.03
            300.62

Not for much - equiv of 500 shares at each price as I needed all my cash for a house deposit.

Considering topping up a bit more...

Falklands oil failure as Desire comes up dry - Telegraph

Desire's shares plunged 36pc to 70.6p as management admitted it had found sandstone but no oil in its Rachel prospect. ... Seymour Pierce, the oil explorer's house broker, was more upbeat, saying Desire's "portfolio of prospects is extensive and does offer potentially huge upside".

Did they include potential war with Argentina+some other Latin American states in that "upside"?

The probable date of such was would be the "gap" years when two new UK aircraft carriers won't have any aircraft on them, sometime between 2016 and 2018 - remember you heard it on here first...

There is no way that the UK is ever going to give up it's interests in the South Atlantic.

For one thing (there are many); this.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
