I have one campaign medal - for service on Op GRANBY in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait during the first Gulf War. I also spent time in Northern Ireland but not long enough to qualify for the GSM(NI).

On the medals front, I obtained four medals and wore these (2 campaign medals that I was not entitled to, and 1 golden jubilee medal - again, which I was not entitled to).

Please leave him alone. He is clearly an honest man who has been misjudged. I apologise. I am a pillock.

Why do you post under Menelaus, surely Paris would be better suited if a little contrived. Also the name change is hardly unassuming, maybe Smith or Brown would be less pretentious.

            WHS.
I think you've taken the ribbing you were going to get - I got flamed by some for doing that, but it wouldn't be CUK if you didn't get some (well-deserved) flak back.
I hope you get well soon.

I believe it was part of the "identity" that I "created" as part of the fantasy that I had and was living at the time. I am ashamed of it and as I hope my early-as-possible guilty plea demonstrates I was wrong to do what I did.

Menelaus because - as I understand the myth - Menelaus could be described as someone whose professional life was good but his personal life was a mess!

If you were able to join the TA and able to work in the city earning a fair amount of money, why did you feel it was necessary to make your life appear more exciting than it already was?

OK, I know that mental illness leads to strange behaviour, but now you can do lots of exciting things in life which would make you a genuinely interesting person without having to invent fantasies. Perhaps now that you’ve served your time and are receiving treatment you can get on with doing the things that will give you a genuinely interesting life without the need for the fantasy world.
