    We're going to Russia

Given that gas is becoming our most important power source, given that Russia is likely to be our biggest provider, given that they've been flexing their muscles against Ukraine, how long before Tony takes us to war against Russia?
Using the Russian attitudes to Chechnya as an excuse of course.
    Why not?

      Ask Chico

You would need to ask Chico whose side his God would be on for that one.

        >ask Chico whose side his God would be on

Ah, but is his God the right God...?

His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...

          He moves in mysterious ways...

Historically, he has been on the side with the bigger battalions, but since Gulf War I, he's realigned himself to the side with the better precision weapons.

            no he couldn't do that

apparrently they really do have WMD that can hit us in 45 minutes, we only go to war on a lie nowadays.
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

We won't need to go to war if Russia do a better job of poisoning Blair than the attempt they (allegedly) tried on Yushchenko.

Iraq shows that it makes sense to just train all population in guerilla warfare and distribute small arms with lots of explosives in great many places, then let the attacker march in and try to keep the territory if they can afford daily losses.

Pipelines are particularly weak - the only reason we don't see complete collapse of exports from Iraq is due to insurgents being paid off not to blow them all.

They would lose on everything else. I am afraid we need more than Chico God for that.
I've seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light.

Why would anybody want to invade Russia in the first place is beyond me - its cold, infrastructure is fked already even without bombing, mafia controls half of the economy and the 2nd half controlled by KGB, why bother invade this mess when people there would do the hard work of getting energy and transporting it to borders themselves? And then use money they earned from sale of energy to buy your own goods and services?

Heck, look at the price of Iraqie Freedom operations - over $400 bln so far and this was done with minimal loss of (US) lifes and equipment, making deal with Saddam to sell his oil for $10 per barrel in perpetuity would have allowed US to buy 40 bln barrels of oil, which at 4 mln barrel production per day is 10,000 days of oil, or ~30 years.

                    J. Christ would have made this deal if he had a chance.
