Are you denying the data is faked? Statistical tests have shown it to be quite dodgy, and I've already given publicly available examples of some of the tricks the AGW loons have used to fake data. There are many others examples that are waiting to crawl out of the darknet ;-)

So, what bizarre 'evidence' are you going to proffer that the whole shebang isn't a complete fabrication to further some crazy political ideology, line pockets, and is nothing to do with science at all really?

No. Some (Singer and Seitz to name two) are more akin to those who sought to cast doubt on the evidence that smoking tobacco is harmful, on bealf of the fossil fuel industry, others (Watts) have found a ready audience and a way of gaining attention (and money) by catering to the sizeable minority of people who simply don't want to believe the evidence, for political or personal reasons, and some (McIntyre) I believe are acting in good faith but take a singularly one-sided view of the issue.

In general I prefer examining arguments rather than speculating about motive.

there was a glitch in the surface temperature record reporting for October. For many Russian stations (and some others), September temperatures were apparently copied over into October, giving an erroneous positive anomaly. The error appears to have been made somewhere between the reporting by the National Weather Services and NOAA’s collation of the GHCN database. GISS, which produces one of the more visible analyses of this raw data, processed the input data as normal and ended up with an October anomaly that was too high. That analysis has now been pulled (in under 24 hours) while they await a correction of input data from NOAA

If so, I am not sure a simple cock-up counts as 'fakery'
