Michael Mann is being investigated for misconduct at Pennsylvania, and Phil Jones might have to endure an investigation after the parliamentary enquiry.

Er, the Himalayan Glaciers ARE melting, although they will still be around in 2035.

To put it in context, the glacier error was in the WGII report (Impacts) from IPCC. In the WGI report (Physical Basis) and the summaries was an accurate discussion of glacier retreat. Maybe that is why the slip went un-noticed for 2 years....

1 factual error, corrected by the removal of one sentence, in 2,800 fact-filled pages. Not a bad rate.

We find the defendent Not Guilty

The investigation by Penn State into Michael Mann has reported and found no evidence of any misconduct.

Phil Jones has a prima facie case to answer in respect of avoiding FOI requests, though the University state that they were fully compliant with the legislation at all times.

But the effect of such an offence, even if proven, on the science is negligible. Not a single study - and there are thousands - will be revised or retracted.

There was an initial investigation and now they are conducting a deeper one. They haven't reported back yet.
