    Landsea

Landsea resigned over 5 years ago, the only such resignation. His dispute with Trenberth [who claims he was not at the time speaking for the IPCC] was over the presentation of results on the impact of climate change on hhurricane intensity and frequency.

More recently Landsea co-authored a paper on the same topic with several high-profile contributors to the IPCC. Maybe fences have been mended?
My subconscious is annoying. It's got a mind of its own.

of course research in climate change doesn't stand still

This blows a huge hole in the projections for CO2

      http://bristol.ac.uk/news/2009/6649.html

..and what about Mann's proxies, the trees in the South-west USA that he used to estimate global temps. This looks like it will blow this away:

      new temp proxy measurements

As Mann and Jones spend their days defending themeselves and rewriting shoddy papers (jones 1990) the science moves on.

Actually, Jones seems to spend most of his time posting on climate threads on CUK

Is Blaster Bates actually Anthony 'Forty' Watts?

Nah he's an under-utilised jobbing IT worker with no expertise in any sort of science amusing himself (and boring everyone else) by dredging up long discredited/irrelevant/nutty/downright wrong links to anti_AGW propaganda.

A paper published in November 2009 found no statistically significant trend (Knorr 2009). Anthony Watts labeled this result the "Bombshell from Bristol" - A potentially devastating result for anthropogenic global warming. Was it such a shock? The 2007 IPCC verdict on the airborne fraction was "There is yet no statistically significant trend in the CO2 growth rate since 1958 .... This 'airborne fraction' has shown little variation over this period." (IPCC AR4) I'm not sure the move from "not much happening" "to "still not much happening" warrants the label "bombshell".

That's a scientific paper is it?

If you are going to refute it, then post a reference to a published peer review reserach, instead of political propaganda.

            Remember what Chris Landsea said?

motivated by pre-conceived agendas and being scientifically unsound

That sums the entry in the blog you posted.

oh dear as the science crumbles you're forced to going to blogs. You really are scraping the barrel.

If you are going to refute it, have the courtesy to post a reference to a published peer review reserach, instead of political propaganda.

You're as thick as the proverbial two planks, aren't you?

PJ hasn't said the Bristol research is wrong just that it is not as relevant/important as you make out.

Not good stuff really - just rambling, stupid guff that exposes the paucity of intellect.
BB contradicts himself from post to post - here he's talking about political agendas, a few posts ago he used a republican paper as "evidence".

Tedious and poor quality argument. But then such is the state of educashun in this country nowadays.

Well I don't need to do much do I? Withh BB, EO and especially your good self digging your own graves on threads like this, I just have to sit back and let you educate the objective observer as to the crapness of your argument.
