I have met a few folks in life who couldn't creatively think their way out of a paper bag, and I do feel sorry for them. They somehow tend to think that games of imagination are beneath them or pointless. So they deride others who do, in order to justify their own short-comings.
It's like the creative spark that we are all born with has diminished and died, suffocated by their own fears of how others might perceive them.
And that is quite sad, I believe.
To live in a world with no creativity, no expression, no encouragement to try new things, to explore, to learn, to develop, to play.
The irony is, that some of those people like to play football, which is a game in and of itself, requiring skill, dexterity and judgment. No different from Warhammer 40K and tabletop minis.
