Curry houses near St. Pancras

There are some truly god-awful curry houses around the Kings Cross/St Pancras area.

However there is a great little place tucked behind Warren Street tube. I think it's Whitfield Place. I know some contractors who swear by it.

That would be the Agra, 135 Whitfield Street. It is darn good.

I agree about Drummond street - it was one of the first areas of Indian immigration in London back in the 50s. It's the thinking man's Brick Lane and right by your area. I haven't actually dined there but hear Masala Hut is nice - the others probably are too.

BRick lane has gone downhill in recent years. It's aimed at tourists these days with barkers outside the restaraunts trying to tempt people inside.

Used to go there regularly as a student as the Union Bar was a 2 minute walk away. Some of the best food I had there was in the transport cafe style places. Formical tables and flourescent lighting. This was 20 years ago now though
