My search came up with some character called the "Masked Tulip" (on housepricecrash).

of course HMRC might not have monkeys, they might have written some software to intelligently highlight the interesting posts. If not then, an interesting question to you all, if a contract was available to write such a system would you take this contract?
This default font is sooooooooooooo boring and so are short usernames

Yep, as CM said, if I don't get paid to do it someone else will...

I've been waiting for you, HMRC. We meet again, at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you, I was but the learner; now I am the master... of minimising my tax liabilities.

I would develop this and any other thing HMRC asked for. If the rate was right of course

I would honestly write an IR35 database if need be. And I would do a good job of it.

Oh you are a bunch of nasty meanies !

HMRC are staffed by people, just like us.

Male, female, with hopes, dreams, desires and families.

Strip away the uniform, and you'll find human beings underneath, just doing their job.

(Which incidentally, is exactly what the members of the Schutzstaffel used to say in their defence)
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
