    The biggest myth

I sick and tired of the people saying Muslims should be against the War in Iraq because it is a war against Muslims blah blah blah. That is the biggest myth.

    Pre - invasion of Iraq

Saddam Hussein responsible for the deaths of more Muslims than any before in history.
Saddam Hussein responsible for suppressing the majority Muslim community in Iraq ( the Shiites) - desecrating the mosques, preventing them from worshipping on their sacred days, killing and exiling their holy leaders etc.
Saddam Hussein was against the adoption of sharia law in Iraq and ruthlessly got rid of the anyone who did not share this.
The rest of the Muslim world hated Saddam Hussein but were afraid of military power and the threat of weapons of mass destruction

    Post - invasion Iraq

A democratically elected Muslim government (Need I say more). The insurgents are trying to push Iraq into civil war because they are evil (period). More Iraqis have been killed after the liberation than during the actual conflict. Who has killed the most Muslims? Fellow Muslims.

Tony Blair has proved to be the best friend of the Muslims in the West - when Milosevic was blowing up Muslims left right and centre in the Balkans which western leader defied the UN sent in troops and convinced Bill Clinton to commit US troops. Was it Jacques Chirac? Schroeder? Nope our own Tony Blair.

When George Bush wanted to go and nuke the middle east post Sept 11 who was the restraining voice of calm? Tony Blair

When George Bush could not give a toss about the Israel/Palestine conflict - who resurrected the Road Map and pushed it to the top of the agenda? Tony Blair.

So if the tree huggers and peaceniks and terrorist sympathisers attempt to explain the actions of the suicide bombers as a response to UK policy on the Muslims then they show how ignorant, naïve and plain stupid they are.

Well done 'war monger anti christian terror encourager', where did you paste that one from? Did you watch Channel 4 news last night. From the horses mouth (various muslim youth groups). Iraq has inspired a new wave of home grown fundamentalists. Remember all of Saddam Husein's (pre oil interest clash in Kuwait) exploits were approved and funded by the USA, it's the astonishing hypocracy involved in these policies that encourage the creation of fundamentalists. What exactly other than that has the war acheived, surely they should have been concentrating on catching AL Queda instead?
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Bagpuss I see you find it very hard to accept the reality. In your deluded world Tony Blair is the evil one while the poor oppressed suicide bombers are fighting back in the only way they can. Boo hoo. Next you will be saying the children in Beslan brought it on themselves. You disgust me.

Well if you are going to get all historical about this stuff remind me what it was that started the crusades?

You are putting words in my mouth like the facist you are. You preach religious intolerance just the same as the scum that planted these bombs. People like you are part of the problem and not the solution.

Chico, you are talking some sense for once. Amidst all the talk and hand wringing of "who's to blame?", the only people who are really to blame are those who did it.

You know it makes sense, Chico.

                    eh?

Chico, the bombers believed in their holy book (which in certain parts justifies the killing of non-believers) just as strongly as you believe in yours. They probably had just as strong a religious belief as you have, probably stronger. They probably though they were just as right as you think your are.
Why do you think your belief is better than theirs?
It is only a matter of chance that you were born into the culture you are in, instead of theirs.

You could quite easily have been one of them, being one of the weak minded who are easily influenced.

The root problem is not using rational thought and being influenced by religious "leaders" and ancient superstions/beliefs as recorded in the "holy" books.

As mentioned earlier you are part of the problem, not the solution.

Of course they are ultimately to blame, but are we not adult enough to discuss motivational behaviour? I realise in organised religion it's blasphemy to question however Chico presumes to know that these terrorists were not at all influenced by happened in Iraq he must be more stupid than the fairy tale he lives his life by.
